Rat scare causes Air India flight to be turned back mid-air

A rat scare caused Air India flight from Mumbai to London to be turned back mid-air during its journey. According to local media reports. the Airline said Flight AI 131 was travelling to London from Mumbai on Wednesday 31st December 2015 when a passenger said rat was spotted. As a safety measure, the aircraft was returned to base and passengers continued their journey on another plane. The airline has said no rodent was found on the plane although they still had the plane fumigated. Rats can cause serious technical hazards to if they chew through wires on board as well as compromising health safety.
