Arsenal’s manager, Arsene Wenger is the longest-serving manager in Europe and the Frenchman has had his say on the staggering turnover of bosses at St James’ Park.
Newcastle have had a staggering 14 managers since Wenger took charge at Arsenal in 1996. On Friday, Steve McClaren was sacked by the relegation threatened Magpies and replaced with former Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid Manager, Rafa Benitez.
When asked for comments on the recent change of manager at Newcastle, he said: “Yes it astounds me. For me the technical stability is very important for the results, for the long-term consistency and the values carried through the club.
“Values are an important part of football and everyone forgets that. The style of play and the way we want to behave is important and somewhere you need consistency on that front.”
